HERE ARE 10 THINGS TO DO IN SOUTHERN CEBU, PHILIPPINES
Explore the Waterfalls
There are so many beautiful waterfalls to explore in the South of Cebu. They are all easy to get to by using the public bus or renting a scooter and going on your own. Be prepared to pay an entry fee at each waterfall. The fee is for nature preservation. Some of the falls require a guide and it is customary to tip them. The top waterfalls include: Tumalog Falls, Aquinid Falls, Hidden Falls, Kawasan Falls and Inambakan Falls.
If you are staying near Oslob you can easily see three waterfalls in one day. Start at Inambakan Falls, which is the farthest away, and then you can see Hidden Falls, Aquinid Falls and then end the day with Tumalog Falls.
Kawasan falls is too far away from Oslob to see other waterfalls in the same day but it is still worth the trip. Learn more below.

Church Sightseeing
The Philippines was first conquered by Spain in 1521 when Ferdinan Megallan landed on Cebu Island according to The Britannica . Spain ruled over the Philippines until 1898 and to this day you can still see some of the Spanish influence. One area where you can clearly see the colonial presence is in the architecture. Cebu island is filled with beautiful old churches that are fascinating to explore.
Paddle Boarding and Kayaking
Paddle boarding and kayaking can be a great activity on a hot humid day. The average temperature on Cebu is anywhere between 70-90. Then add in humidity and you are stuck with hot and exhausting days. Because of the heat the best activities are usually by the water. Paddle boarding and kayaking are a great alternative to roasting under the sun.
Go Snorkeling
The coral reefs around the Philippines are thriving and beautiful. Just by snorkeling you can see hundreds of fish, beautiful corals, turtles, barracudas and more. If you bring your own mask you can go snorkeling on a beach day or whenever you see the ocean.
